On days when getting up seems like a real challenge, it’s nice to have a solid bed with nice sheets.
I’m thankful for the cute little decorations my roommate leaves around the apartment.
Hugs. Hugs are just fucking awesome.

I went down to the folks’ house today to have a big family dinner with my parents, grandpa, aunt, sister, brother-in-law, and new nephew. It was lovely to have everyone sit around one big table and talk about life.
Being able to drive down to visit the family was a blessing unto itself. The transmission went out on my car awhile ago, so my father has been very graciously letting me borrow his. Reliable transportation is amazing.

I was told by multiple people in different situations today that I should be a math professor.
We went out for karaoke again and I continue to be amazed how much fun it is even while sober. I’m so glad to not have lost something like that when I stopped drinking.
On two different occasions today I gathered up all the nerve I possibly could and I asked for what I wanted. Rewarded both times.
